'Goes Too Far'
New Jersey Assemblyman James Kennedy, a Democrat, sent a letter strongly opposing the proposed independent-contractor rule.
It’s officially now at least two dozen legislators who have sent letters to New Jersey’s Department of Labor & Workforce Development about the proposed independent-contractor rule.
In the case of state Assemblyman James Kennedy, a Democrat, the letter expresses “strong opposition” and says he’s concerned that “this rule, as currently drafted, goes too far.”
Here is Kennedy’s two-page letter, which is dated September 8 but just came to my attention:
