'Get the Hell Out of My Business'
Longtime news anchor Ken Rosato—an independent contractor himself—had some choice words on-air yesterday about New Jersey's proposed rule.
If you’re from the Greater New York City region, then you probably recognize the face of Ken Rosato. He was a news anchor on ABC-TV from 2007 until 2023.
Today, he has a morning show on the streaming network OnNJ. He invited me to appear on his show yesterday for a 10-minute segment about the need to stop freelance busting right now in New Jersey, and all across the country too.
At the end, he gives his personal opinion on the topic. I think it’s safe to say he’s with us on this policy issue:
N.J. Public Comment Deadline Today
As I mention at the end of that video segment, today is the final deadline to submit public comments opposing New Jersey’s proposed independent contractor rule.
Email david.fish@dol.nj.gov and reference “Proposed New Rules: N.J.A.C. 12:11 ABC Test; Independent Contractors,” or fill out the form at Save Independent Work NJ.
There are a lot more of us than there are of the freelance-busting brigade. When we all raise our voices in unison, we win.
Please, add your voice to ours. File a public comment opposing New Jersey’s proposed rule by the end of business today.
